I received some initial feedback on my novel draft and it was uncomfortable to hear it.
Consequently, I went off on a teeny weeny spiral that made me want to give everything up or burn it all.
One of the writing groups I am part of had a discussion around handling writing disappointments and the topic of survivorship bias turned up. So of course, it was time to revisit Brandon Sanderson’s take on it.
He sold his twelfth book, and by the time he found a good publisher, he had practised writing no matter what he was feeling that day.
I need to learn this.
